🪴 1. Preparation
Water spinach seeds: Should choose F1 seeds that grow evenly and healthily
. Soil: Loose, rich in nutrients. Can use tribat soil or soil mixed with organic fertilizer (composted cow manure, vermicompost...).
Pots, foam boxes, planting trays: Have drainage holes.
🌱 2. How to sow seeds
Soak seeds in warm water for 6-8 hours (ratio 2 hot: 3 cold).
Remove, incubate in a damp towel for 1 day until the seeds crack.
Sow seeds directly onto moistened soil, spread evenly and cover with a thin layer of soil (about 0.5-1cm).
Use a spray bottle to lightly water 1-2 times/day.
After 3-5 days, the seeds will begin to germinate.
🌿 3. Care
Light: Water spinach loves the sun - place in a place with at least 5-6 hours of light/day.
Watering: 1-2 times a day, depending on the weather. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged.
Fertilizing: After 10–15 days, you can fertilize with organic fertilizer or diluted NPK every 7–10 days.
✂️ 4. Harvesting
After 25–30 days, the first crop of water spinach can be cut.
Use a knife or scissors to cut 3–5cm from the base so that the plant continues to branch, and harvest again after another 10–15 days.
